🎵 Richard Marx – Right Here Waiting (1989) 💌
“Right Here Waiting”
🎶 Right Here Waiting – Richard Marx (1989) 💖
Today’s song is Richard Marx’s timeless ballad “Right Here Waiting.” 💌
🎬 Marx wrote it as a heartfelt love letter to his then-girlfriend, actress Cynthia Rhodes, who was filming in South Africa expressing his longing and affection while they were apart. 🌍❤️
🎤 Interestingly, he didn’t plan to sing it himself. He offered it to Barbra Streisand, who declined, saying, “I’m not going to be right here waiting for anyone.” 😅
💿 Thanks to that rejection, Marx included it on his second album “Repeat Offender,” and it became a worldwide hit, topping the Billboard Hot 100. 🏆✨
🌙 Even today, it’s a favorite for those in long-distance love or anyone missing someone special. 💞
“Right Here Waiting” is more than a love song it’s a sincere confession of love and waiting. 🌹
